Position: Telecom IT Manager Consultant


Position: Nassau, Commonwealth of the Bahamas


Start Date: TBD (ASAP)


Duration: 1 year Contract


Description:


Engineer with Degree (BScEE, BSc CompSci, etc) plus 10 years+
experience managing IT Departments for a blue ribbon telecom such as
Bell, Nortel, Telus, etc.


Qualification Duties;


- Experience in providing plaform support to a national or very large
regional telecom
- Experience in providing toolsets and desktop support to a national
or very large regional telecom
- Experience in providing IT technology refresh to a national or very
large regional telecom
- Experience in integrating, monitoring and supporting third party
vendor solutions within the IT infrastructure, such as post-paid and
prepaid billing, SMS-C functions
- Experience in project management, project planning, roll-outs,
deployments and disaster planning
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in managing personnel issues in a multi-cultural
environment
- Experience desirable in a unionised shop
- Diverse experience in deploying telecom technologies, including
convergent digital technologies in a telecommunications environment
- Thorough understanding of telecom technologies, including carrier,
switching, wireless and internet.
- Excellent presentation skills, and people skills.
- Excellent proven problem solving and people skills required.
